Top seed (and 8th ranked) Foley Falcons defeated the TG boys’ tennis team, 6-1, on Tuesday morning in the Section 6A semifinals. With a balanced lineup, the Falcons proved why they were the number 1 seed, winning the first six matches in straight sets. Senior Aidan Schlichting put the Eagles on the board in the final match at 1 Singles (6-1, 6-3). It was the second consecutive year that Foley beat the Eagles in the section tournament.

Next up is the Section 6A Individual Tournament beginning Friday (5/26). TG will send six players: Aidan Schlichting, Aidan Raddohl (Singles) and Evan Nelson / Ryan Price, Kelly Cronan / Matthew Livermont (Doubles). Play begins at 9 am at Pine City High School.
